// 2. How our review scores work

Every CriticalPixel review is scored on a 0–100 scale across four dimensions — gameplay, story, art, and fun. Member reviews are scored by their authors. Most reviews currently on the site are AI-assisted summaries of public Steam player reviews: their scores are derived from what those players report, not from a first-hand playthrough, and each summary is labeled on its page. No score is sold or influenced by publishers.

We track prices in real time across 10+ official stores and key marketplaces, refreshing every few minutes. For each game we surface the best current price, the discount versus the original, and all-time-low history, with support for 25+ regional currencies. The canonical place to check a game's live prices is its game page, e.g. /games/{slug}.

// 4. Editorial independence

CriticalPixel is independent. Review scores are never sold or influenced by stores or publishers. Some store links may be affiliate links that help fund the platform; these never affect which price is shown as the best deal or how reviews are scored.

CriticalPixel is built and run by Danilo Khury, an independent developer, as a solo project with no corporate backing and no publisher influence. Every feature, from reviews and Steam review summaries to the real-time price comparison across 10+ stores in 25+ currencies, exists to answer the questions every gamer asks before buying: Is this game good? Can my PC run it? Where is it cheapest right now? Review scores are never sold or influenced by stores or publishers. The project launched in 2025 and keeps growing with its community.
