GTA 6 Soundtrack Revealed as a 34-Track Album for November 19, With Six Songs Streaming Now and Vinyl at $50

GTA 6 Soundtrack Revealed as a 34-Track Album for November 19, With Six Songs Streaming Now and Vinyl at $50

Rockstar has finally given Grand Theft Auto VI something you can actually listen to. Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is a 34-track collection of original music made for the game, and six of those songs are already streaming on the major services. The full album arrives on November 19, the same day GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, according to Eurogamer's report on the reveal. Two months out from launch, the most anticipated game on the calendar is selling itself with a playlist, and it is a sharp way to keep the conversation going without showing a single new frame of gameplay.

The six songs you can play right now

The sample tracks come from a wildly mixed group of artists. Yung Lean leads with That's It, featuring Future and Metro Boomin. Travis Scott contributes RHYNO, produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso team up with PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crecy on Sexy Magic, a lineup that reads like a festival poster with a typo. Morgan Wallen brings Last Thing You Need, Rauw Alejandro has Macacoa 2000, and Keith Richards closes the sample with Bright Lights, Big City. That is hip-hop, country, Latin, electronic and a rock legend on one release, which fits Rockstar's long habit of building radio stations around a mood rather than a genre.

The rest of the record is still under wraps. Most of the other tracks are listed by number only, which leaves 28 songs and a lot of room for speculation about who else is on this thing. Eurogamer notes the reveal follows a string of teasers from the featured artists, who shared GTA 6 styled posters on social media before the album was announced. That matches how Rockstar has run this whole campaign: drop a small piece, let the internet do the marketing, and stay quiet about everything else. Whether you love that or find it exhausting probably depends on how long you have been waiting since the first trailer.

Formats, prices and a UK sellout

Rockstar is treating this like a proper music release. The official album store lists three physical editions as pre-orders: a CD at $19.98, a standard vinyl at $49.98 and a limited edition vinyl at $124.98. Eurogamer puts the UK prices at 11 pounds for the CD, 45 pounds for the vinyl and 109 pounds for the limited edition, and it reports that the limited vinyl has already sold out on the UK site. Digital is covered too, with pre-save links for Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, Deezer, Tidal and Amazon Music, and the same link lets you hear the six sample tracks. Asking $125 for a vinyl of a game soundtrack that most people cannot hear in full yet is a bold move, and a UK sellout says the pricing is not scaring off the people it was aimed at.

What this says about the launch

Two months before launch, this is the first big GTA 6 marketing beat that leans on culture instead of gameplay. Rockstar has never been shy about licensed music, and the series has long treated its radio as a character, so an album is a logical next step. The timing is still interesting. Eurogamer points out that one of the game's cast was recently confirmed as King of the Hill's Stephen Root, which shows Rockstar feeding the audience in small pieces rather than one giant showcase. An album that lands on the same day as the game also gives the soundtrack its own launch-day moment on streaming services, on top of whatever players hear in Vice City and Leonida.

    How fans are taking it

Reaction is limited so far, since the drop is only hours old. On X, ItsIsaacBeast called the rollout official and asked which of the six singles has been on repeat, and a reply under the Eurogamer post said Rockstar is treating the soundtrack like a real release. Other posts were already arguing over which in-game radio station will become the one nobody ever changes, and a few tied the vinyl and CD push to the wider physical versus digital debate. That is a handful of loose voices, not a consensus, so read the mood as curious and mostly positive rather than settled.

    The CriticalPixel take

My read: this is clever marketing dressed up as a music release, and that is meant as praise. Rockstar found a way to get people talking about GTA 6 for a week without spending a second of trailer time. The lineup mixes chart names with left-field picks, which fits a series that uses licensed songs to define a place, and Vice City has plenty of style to define. My gripe is the price of entry for the collector crowd. A $125 limited vinyl for something you can stream for free in two months is a lot, and the UK sellout says plenty of fans are happy to pay it anyway. Also, 28 unnamed tracks is a lot of mystery to ask anyone to pre-order on trust.

GTA 6 arrives November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and the album lands with it. Until then, six songs are all we get, so the sample tracks and the pre-save link are the only new GTA 6 content you can touch today. If Rockstar keeps drip-feeding at this pace, expect more artist reveals, more posters and more guessing about what the other 28 tracks are hiding before launch.
