ChessFolk is a chess game featuring offline play against hundreds of fictional AI opponents with distinct profiles, playing styles and difficulty levels. Its opponent system combines Maia-2, Stockfish and custom behaviour rules.
Players can compete in Swiss, round-robin and knockout tournaments, track their in-game rating and match history, and practise through guided lessons, opening exploration and game analysis. The game offers 2D and 3D board views, animated battle-style captures, custom time controls, PGN import and export, and local two-player play on one device.
Step into a fictional chess community where every opponent has a name, a personality and a different approach to the board. Meet familiar rivals, enter tournaments and build your own history through victories, defeats and rematches. With Susu the panda among the characters you’ll encounter, Chess Folk turns individual matches into a personal journey through an offline chess club.
