About Nothing Strange Here
Nothing Strange Here is a single-player open-world adventure game with mystery and slice-of-life elements. Set in the small town of Larcenest Gap, players take on the role of a reporter exploring the community, documenting strange events, and interacting with townsfolk.
The game combines narrative discovery with photography and journaling mechanics. Players can photograph scenes, collect evidence, and publish their findings in a customizable in-game journal. NPCs follow daily routines, and the world changes based on the player's actions and the time of day. Additional features include hidden collectibles, such as stickers and gnomes, and dynamic events that encourage exploration and investigation.
You arrive in Larcenest Gap, a quiet town out in the middle of nowhere, on assignment as a junior reporter. The locals are friendly, the vending machines whisper, and someone keeps rearranging the garden gnomes.
At first, it’s all small-town charm and oddball errands. But the deeper you dig through conversations, old photos, and maybe a few suspiciously sticky notes the more it becomes clear: something’s off.
Your job?
Write stories. Take photos. Ask too many questions.
And maybe just maybe figure out what’s really going on in the Gap.
